Dementia Challenges...

Team captain: hayley pye

About

Dementia challenges those who suffer from it every single day. Patients who enter our hospital are challenged by this environment, the disease and the true impact of dementia.

So, to raise awareness for Alzheimer's Month, The dementia team are challenging themselves to know what it is like to have complete fear and anxiety for one day. This will be nothing compared to what our patients go through but a small insight into their world and to raise funds to help make their journey a little easier.

The money raised by these challenges will be used to improve the environments around the hospital to make our patients journey less challenging.

WE ARE A SMALL TEAM BUT MIGHTY!

Debbie will be 'braving the shave'. She is shaving her head right infront of the hospitals main entrance on the 20th september.

Hannah is vowing to dead lift her highest personal best weights. She is pushing her limits and training hard for this event. She will be completing this in her gym and will be creating a video of her achievements.

Hayley and Erika will be completing a sky dive on 28th of September. Both are terrified but willing to push themselves to show that anxiety and fear is so frightening - imagine not knowing why youre jumping out of that plane or being blind folded - our patients with dementia must feel this type of anxiety every single day.

So go on, please donate!

Any amount will be well received and used to help our patients with dementia have a better hospital experience. Thankyou.
