About
Hello and welcome to the official fundraising page for The Big Raise for Little Rays: Project Play!
The aim of this project is to improve the waiting areas within medical imaging. We are a large department which includes X-Ray, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, DEXA, Ultrasound and our neighbours in Nuclear Medicine. Last year, over 253 000 patients, including more than 15 400 children, used our services and spent time in our waiting areas.
To date, we have managed to raise an amazing £13 000 through kind donations from local buisiness, members of the public and our staff completing their own crazy fundraisers! We have regular Cake & Craft sales, have hosted a Quiz Night with raffle and our Silent Auctions have been popular too.
Phase 1 is now complete with custom murals and wall toys installed in our main waiting area, ED x-ray waiting area and ultrasound waiting area. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and it is so rewarding to see our patients and their families engaging as we had hoped.
We are now actively working on Phase 2 with plans for activity packs to engage, distract and calm our younger visitors that shall be handed to them at Reception with our very own 'Passport Control'. Two further murals are planned for CT waiting area and outpatient x-ray waiting area.
All the funds for this project need to be raised via donations and gifts. We are also working with CommonGood UK (https://commongooduk.com/) to link with businesses to help with purchasing specific items.
This is a whole team effort, staff and patients alike, to come together to raise as much money as we can. We are really excited about this amazing project and the more we raise, the more we can do!
So if you have ever wanted to say thankyou, gift a donation, support a fundraising event, help give something back, then we would appreciate any amount no matter how big or small.
From all of us in Medical Imaging - THANKYOU for supporting Project Play!
